Getting into fitness means pushing oneself and one’s boundaries to the extreme. For celebrity Steve McGranahan, this meant practicing some extreme exercises that specifically focus on individual parts of his body. The World’s Strongest Redneck, as McGranahan goes by, has impressed the audience with his show of power and strength. And a recent video on Twitter was no different.

McGranahan posted a video to Twitter where he was attempting to slowly rotate a huge sledgehammer. This he did so he could build his wrists. While fans marveled at his show of strength, they had mixed reactions ranging from amazement to repulse. Let’s take a look at some of the top reactions.

McGranahan became famous for his strongman-like antics after appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Since then, he works out and keeps in shape so that he is able to perform as The World’s Strongest Redneck. However, a recent video gave a glimpse of how unique his workouts could get. While fans seemed to enjoy watching him, it didn’t look like some would follow his routine.

The reactions were polarized. Some almost gasped in amazement at McGranahan’s abilities.

But some straight up refused to follow his routine to strengthen one’s wrists.

Nevertheless, all reactions invoked laughter. Some even came with additional suggestions as to how one could upgrade the sledgehammer levers to give a more intense workout for the wrists. While McGranahan does not plan on participating in the World’s Strongest Man championship, he could get quite close to competitors.

Meanwhile, how is this year’s World’s Strongest Man championship looking?

This year marks the return of one of the most popular contenders of the championship, Brian Shaw. Shaw announced his return at this year’s championship in one of his YouTube videos.

The veteran participant had matched the likes of former winners like Eddie Hall and Hafthor Bjornsson. Since his announcement of return, he made some major changes in his gym to suit his training regimen. And this time, Shaw plans to shoot for the moon and go for the gold. With more and more strongmen emerging from various parts of the world, the audience would hopefully get to see more new faces come up for the title.
