Arnold has investments in over a hundred small and big-scale ventures. Of course, you need an office to handle all your operations, and Arnold had one made in the mid-’80s. And, he has an interesting story about it!
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Shaquille O’Neal shared an office
Arnold seems like a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to spend time with people. He loves going on TV for interviews and gives his audience many reasons to laugh. Ever since the pandemic, Arnold has increased his public outreach program to establish a connection with them and help those in need.
During an interview on a talk show, Arnold recalled sharing an office with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. The host asked Arnold what the circumstances of him sharing an office with Shaquille O’Neal were. Arnold said, “I wanted to not have a regular real estate office or commercial office with a bank and this and that. So I wanted to bring in entertainers and athletes.” He continued, “So Shaquille O’Neal was one of the players that came in. So we had to increase the doors, and the toilets and all the stuff had to be increased in size, which we were very happy to do.”
Standing at an incredible 7ft 1in, it’s no wonder such lavish changes had to be made to accommodate the legendary basketball player.
Incidentally, the office was supposed to act as a point of contact for Arnold’s real-estate company. Arnold and a bodybuilder friend of his collected money after they got to know about a get-rich-quick scheme. Both “investors” got duped of their money as the promised land turned out to be dirt.

When Arnold first met O’Neal
While the two celebrities are close friends now, things were different in the 1990s. Back in 1993, when Shaq was still a rookie, Arnold sat courtside during Orlando Magic v New York Knicks at MSG. A sideline news reporter asked Arnold about Shaq.
Arnold said what surprised him the most was he kept seeing Shaq eat more and more food. The server kept bringing him meals, and he ate them all. Apart from this, what Arnie noticed during a conversation with him was his intellect. Arnold knew Shaq was smart and had a feeling he would do well in the NBA.
