Understanding privilege and working towards the betterment of society is one of the noblest deeds one could do. And that’s what Hollywood actor Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger have set out to do. Katherine and Pratt, who also happen to be the son-in-law of Hollywood veteran Arnold Schwarzenegger, announced a huge project to promote inclusive education.
Both Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger teamed up with Special Olympics on the UN’s International Day of Education. In order to promote inclusivity in education, so kids were not singled out on a basic right, the couple vowed to take proactive steps. Let’s dive into the details.

Chris Pratt believes in equitable education
The Special Olympics’ initiative believes in breaking barriers and ending discrimination. Even children with intellectual disabilities deserve proper education. Therefore, with the idea that revolution is inclusion, Special Olympics brought out a pledge to promise inclusion in different aspects of education. This is what Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger signed up for.

Katherine Schwarzenegger recently launched an initiative to raise money for the charity Save The Children. The author gave back to charity through her latest book, Good Night Sister. This was to increase awareness about the charity and their work, with an emphasis on education. Therefore, the collaboration with Special Olympics was fitting.
Meanwhile, Chris Pratt has previously contributed to several charities, including visiting the Great Ormond Street Hospital and donating to the Edmonds Food bank. The star has since played the role of a real-life superhero for many. And when the chance came to address the educational concerns of children, he and his wife did not hesitate. The caption mentioned how every child had the right to education, but “sadly, this right is not a reality for all”.
As parents, we want every child to have the right to an equitable, inclusive education. Sadly, this right is not a reality for all. On this @UN International Day of Education, I’m joining @Specialolympics to advocate for inclusive education for all. #choosetoinclude pic.twitter.com/FWgv0PjAFN

Arnold Schwarzenegger also took a special interest in working toward child development
While his eldest daughter and son-in-law are raising awareness about children’s development and education, Arnold began the good work years ago. During his political career, the former governor of California launched a movement to improve after-school activities for children.

The Terminator actor being the magnanimous character that he is, conducted an annual charity event called the Arnold Schwarzenegger-Westime Charity Night. The event aimed to raise money for After-School All-Stars – a charity that provides after-school programs to keep children safe during their school life. During the 9th edition of this event, the star raised a whopping $5.8 million for the betterment of children. Philanthropy runs in the family, and now Pratt and Katherine have joined the bandwagon.
