The latest Tom Cruise movie, Top Gun: Maverick, easily made its way to the top-grossing movies of all time. And it won’t be wrong to give some credit for this to the Hollywood legend, Tom Cruise, who is a professional in the entertainment sector and ranks among the top movie stars in the world. However, he has made lots of effort to reach where he stands today. 

Such efforts include maintaining a particular weight and a physique, as per the requirements of the movie. His latest film, Top Gun, required a vigorous amount of effort. Due to this, the Mission Impossible fame actor made his own weight-loss diet plan. Recently, a bodybuilder named Zac Perna tried to follow the same regime and documented it on his YouTube channel.

The Diet of Tom Cruise makes Zac Perna struggle

Perna started the video with his introduction, and following that, he announced that he would try out Tom’s diet plan. Zac first addressed, “Today’s video is all about Tom Cruise. We’re going to find out what he did to prepare for top gun.” 

When he started his diet plan, he found it difficult to even follow the breakfast routine. He said, “Okay cool so this is the saddest meal prep I think I’ve ever seen in my life.”

“But what we have here is each one of these we have eight let’s say you call them hot meals, 75 grams of white fish and lettuce no rice no carbs with that one. And then we have four of those, Then we have 75 grams of chicken with 25 grams of rice. That is literally a tablespoon of rice there. Now all of these are garnished beautifully with a bit of iceberg lettuce.”

On the other hand, as Perna tried his workout plans, he found it challenging, too. He stated, “Tom Cruise allegedly does some weird activities.”

“He doesn’t really do your typical cardio stuff; he does kayaking, rock climbing, trekking, skiing. There’s a lot of weirdness. So in the spirit of Tom Cruise, we’re going up to the snow.”

This showed how difficult it is to follow the diet plan of the legend who works hard for his movies. Even at the age of 60, the man looks astoundingly young.
