I’ve heard rumors that I’m really much shorter in real life – like 5ft 6in or something like that – which is ridiculous. He continued, “People look up to me, and not just because I do a lot of work in the community. I mean, most people really LOOK UP to me”. He emphasized the capitalized part to make a pun, suggesting that everybody has to literally look upwards towards him due to his tall height. Schwarzenegger might’ve thought that this would settle the debate once and for all.

In some images, he is standing beside his co-stars, who are 5’8 and look slightly taller than them. It gives the impression of his short height and keeps the lore alive. While in another image, he is towering above his friend and co-star Sylvester Stallone who is 5’10. This juxtaposes the popular rumor and thumps his image as a tall-statured man.

As per Bob Mulholland, the former advisor to the California Democratic Party, Schwarzenegger was 5’10” tall.
