Without a doubt, Ronnie Coleman has altered the reality of modern-day bodybuilding. Ronnie won Mr. Olympia eight times in a row as he established his absolute domination as a bodybuilder. Despite going through hardships like injuries, he stood above all the bodybuilders.

Even after facing failures in the surgeries, Coleman climbed the ladder to greatness. However, after he decided to have the surgery, his life changed, inviting a lot of body issues. These injuries included significant hip and spine injuries, requiring extensive surgical procedures.
What went wrong in the surgery of Ronnie Coleman?
Bodybuilding can push one person to its furthest limits. Unfortunately, a bodybuilder’s progress may occasionally be hindered during the process because of injuries, which can later leave them in pain. Describing his pain, Ronnie revealed his bad surgery in a Facebook video.
Coleman stated, “One day, I didn’t know that will ever happen because I had so much damage done to my body from many surgeries. Uhh, a lot of has been with you know the way that surgeon performed that surgery. And the surgeon that I had did three surgeries that went real bad and caused a lot of damage to my body.”
Ronnie got emotional and said, “So I don’t know if I am gonna able to walk, but I’m gonna give my best shot with the best surgeon who performed these surgeries.”
Coleman underwent a back procedure for the tenth time in 2018 to replace four broken bones. However, Ronnie acknowledges that despite his doctors’ advice, his ongoing desire to exercise has worsened those problems. Meanwhile, after the surgeries, he has been either using a wheelchair or having someone’s help for walking around.
Coleman’s legacy in bodybuilding
Since he was crowned Mr. Olympia in 1998, he has maintained his physique with lots of effort. He was poised to take home a fourth with three championships under his belt by 2001. However, due to some circumstances in 2001, Mr. Olympia decided to stop for a break. Later he appeared in 2007’s Mr.Olympia and was placed in 7th position.

Regarding the list of legendary bodybuilders of all time, Ronnie’s name is always mentioned alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and other big stars. However, as the star announced the consequences of his failed surgeries, everyone wished him a fast recovery. Nevertheless, the fans of the eight-time Mr. Olympia winner want him to pose again with his bulked muscles.
