How did he move towards bodybuilding?
Ronnie always knew he had great potential and was gifted with amazing muscle-building genetics. His colleague suggested visiting the Metroflex gym, where he met bodybuilder Brian Dobson. The bodybuilder offered Coleman free membership for a lifetime at the cost of training him for the Mr. Texas competition in 1990. Ronnie agreed and won in two heavyweight and overall categories.
After this, he gained massive confidence and trained with more seriousness. He even defeated his trainer Dobson in one of the competitions. Coleman’s first professional win was at 1995’s Canada Pro Cup.
