American Strongman, Rob Kearney, is gearing up for yet another competition. Being the first openly gay bodybuilder, Kearney has established himself as a strong representative of the community in the bodybuilding world. Naturally, during his 13-year-long professional career, Kearney has amassed a huge fan following of not just the bodybuilding enthusiasts but of the fans from the LGBTQ+ community too.
As all eyes are on him, the World’s Strongest Gay, as Kearney likes to call himself, is giving his all while preparing for the upcoming Arnold Classic. Recently, Kearney uploaded a video on his YouTube channel, featuring one of his workout sessions. It didn’t take long for the fans to notice the changes in the strongman’s appearance and compliment him for the same.

Weeks away from Arnold Classic, strongman Rob Kearney posted a video on his YouTube channel. Soon after the video was uploaded, fans made their way to the comments section. Grateful to the bodybuilder, one fan wrote, “Thank you for inspiring me Rob.” Another fan added, “Love the beard! Best of luck at the Arnold’s. You got this!”
Soon more fans started complimenting the beard and motivating the bodybuilder. “Man you are looking huge. Might be the beard. Either ways, it bodes well for Arnold!,” wrote one fan. Another one added, “The beard is looking excellent! It will definitely provide more power. I see a podium finish coming up!” Hopes are high, as one fan wrote, “Fingers crossed for you Rob! I’d love to see you podium at the Arnold’s. I won’t be there this year and I’m bummed. Hope to one day meet you both. Pease out!”
Another wrote, “Full-Beard Rob ready to remind everyone about how Day 1 at last year’s Arnold’s went…. Kill it again this time man!” However, among these motivators, there was a fan who was deeply inspired by Kearney. They wrote, “I’d love to see you and Joey do a video giving advice to other LGBTQ+ people that are training and competing. You and Joey are my idols. I’m a 38-year-old trans man. I just started strength training.”

However, despite the inspiration, the fan had some questions for the bodybuilder and his husband. They added, “How did you guys get through it? How did you guys get past all the homophobia? I know it helps knowing that you’re strong enough to pick them up and throw them into the next county. But how do you mentally get past the hate and keep yourself going?”

As the fan patiently waits for a response, others continue to cheer for the bodybuilder. Meanwhile, Kearney is gearing up for the upcoming 2023 Arnold Classic whose roster is already out.
