Canadian bodybuilding superstar Chris Bumstead doesn’t seem to slow down anytime soon. Establishing his dominance in the sport, he won Mr. Olympia Classic Physique thrice from 2019 to 2021. At a very young age, Bumstead entered the bodybuilding world, and his interest in the sport grew by the day.
Nevertheless, he was also a social butterfly, and continuing that lifestyle would’ve stopped him from being one of the iconic bodybuilders.

When Chris Bumstead chose bodybuilding
Chris Bumstead is renowned for his dominance in bodybuilding. His journey toward being the best started after he graduated from high school. However, the route to success is never easy. It involves sacrifices, dedication, determination, and hard work. Bumstead being Bumstead, made sure to tick all the checkboxes.
Nonetheless, his life back then was not as organized as it is now. Bumstead was a huge socialite; partying, drinking, and having fun were part of his routine. But it didn’t take him much time to realize the correct pathway and follow that.
Recently, the muscle builder posted a YouTube video, where he talks about his transition into a goal-oriented life. Bumstead knew what he had to do with his social life.
“Typically, you only have room for like two or three things you want to put effort into and I had to pull for my social life,” Bumstead said.
The bodybuilding enthusiast believes in setting goals and putting efforts into achieving the same.
“So, you kind of have to choose what your priorities are and where you want to see yourself in the end,” said the muscle man. “Where you see yourself as being a drunk degenerate when you’re 30, then keep doing that, you know.”
In the end, Bumstead chose bodybuilding over his fun and comfortable social life. Even though it was difficult, he made sure to follow the right lane.

Nicknamed CBum, the bodybuilder once motivated his fans and followers to never give up. According to him, dreams should be big enough to scare one. It’s not about being the winner but about putting in the hard work.
“So, everyone out there whose dreams are scaring you, whose dreams make you want to quit, just don’t quit,” he said. “That’s good. Your dreams should be big, they should be scary. Just keep pushing through.”
