Professional Strongman and Game of Thrones star Hafthor Bjornsson injured his left pectoral recently during a powerlifting meet. The failed 556 pounds bench press attempt led to a serious setback for Bjornson who is currently making sure to recover as soon as possible.
Amidst the recovery period, Bjornsson is spending time with his family. He is married to Kelsey Henson who is a fitness trainer and social media star. The couple is fairly active on their social media and posts frequently about their whereabouts as well. Recently, Henson posted a video alongside Bjornsson on her Instagram in which the couple could be seen having a fun time.

Henson posted a video recently on her Instagram along with her husband. Henson and Bjornsson indulged in a playful challenge where the couple pulled each other’s legs, and acted as if they were driving a car. Considering The Mountain’s enormous size, he obviously pulled Henson much faster. The couple has a 19-inch height difference as well.

“My Bugatti is faster than yours 🏎️💨”, wrote Henson in the caption. Despite not winning the challenge, she managed to pull ‘Thor’ which is an exceptional feat in itself. Rightfully nicknamed the ‘Mountain’, Bjornson weighs in at around 399 lbs.
Facing a serious injury like this can take a toll on an athlete’s mental health. Spending time with your loved ones can really help an individual to go through a tough time. Life has not been very smooth for Bjornsson. Except for the physical injuries, Bjornsson once suffered an extremely rare facial illness.
‘Thor’ suffered a paralytic infection
Back in 2017, Bjornsson posted an image on his Instagram with a caption revealing a facial illness. The Strongman later found out that he has been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. Fortunately, the illness was not too severe in his case. The strongman also promised the fans that he will still perform well despite the paralysis.

“There was nothing to worry about. That I have caught some virus called Bells Palsy which causes half of my face getting paralyzed. It can last from a week to a few months apparently”, wrote Bjornsson. Continuing further, he added, “Other than that I feel good and look forward to battling it out with the guys for the Title of Europe’s Strongest Man 2017 and putting on a great show for all you guys!”
