In recent times, the internet has become home to a lot of negativity. However, many, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, are striving to spread positivity. Schwarzenegger uses his positive corner of wellness, a.k.a. his newsletter Pump Daily, to promote a positive and healthy approach toward life. Joining Schwarzenegger’s village of change, Danna became the member of the week. With that, he received Schwarzenegger’s full support and a little space in his newsletter’s latest edition to share his story with the world. So what does the member of this week has to say?

31-year-old accountant Dave Danna believes “It’s better to be the fattest person in the gym than the fattest person in the funeral home.” His transformation journey started in June 2022 when his weight crossed the maximum mark on the weighing scale. Though he wasn’t an expert in diet or workout, at that moment, Danna realized he needed change. Weighing over 400 pounds, Danna signed up for a gym for the first time in the 30 years of his life.

Soon after, he monitored his diet and drastically cut down on junk food and alcohol. He also focused on his mental health which he claims men should do more. Four weeks after adapting to the new lifestyle, Danna saw the first fruits of his labor. On June 29, 2022, Danna discovered his exact weight for the first time in a while as the scale recorded 399.9. As of March 2023, Danna has lost over 80 pounds. Presently, he weighs 320.1 pounds and believes he has “a long way to go and a lot to learn!”

Sharing his message, Dave Danna added, “My message to the village is that despite all the negativity online, there is still so much to be positive about, thankful for, and grateful for.” Furthermore, Danna understands the anxiety of walking into the gym for the first time or the insecurity of not knowing how to use the equipment. But he claims a gym can be one of the most positive and supportive places. While Schwarzenegger’s interaction with Danna led to people discovering this motivational story, another interaction resulted in Schwarzenegger revealing the trick to curb procrastination.
Arnold Schwarzenegger on how to avoid procrastination
In another newsletter update, Schwarzenegger revealed a fan had asked for advice to avoid procrastination. This made Schwarzenegger recall the advice he received from his late friend and mentor Jim Lorimer. According to Lorimer, instead of writing down the task on paper and leaving it for later, one should finish it as soon as one receives it. This is the simplest way to avoid procrastination.

While Schwarzenegger agrees and follows the advice, he understands some things need to be written down too. This is mostly the case with long-term goals. Schwarzenegger suggests making a list of the long-term goals and marking it off, once done. But the list shouldn’t include short-term tasks.
