The Giants Live 2023, highlights many of the Strongman champions all across the world. In 2021, some of the contestants made history during one of the tasks at the championship. The task was to lift a crate of huge logs, and the winner would be the one who could perform the maximum number of reps.

In a YouTube video posted by the Giants Live STRONGMAN page, a series of Strongman contestants participated in the task, in the hopes to create a new record. In the end, Evan Singleton managed to beat the rest. But there was someone better than him, who fans wouldn’t stop praising in the comments section.

The task was set and seemed straightforward – a huge crate filled with logs – the Viking Press. Contestants would come up, lift, and perform reps without double dipping their knees. The highest number of reps within 60 seconds determines their score. Throughout the contest, many participants managed a score of around 10-11 reps. However, a former WWE star beat them all in a matter of seconds.

Evan ‘T-Rex’ Singleton set a record for 12 reps in a minute, thus creating history right then and there. However, the comments under the video highlighted another name, that stole Singleton’s thunder. In 2023, UK-based strongman, Paul Smith, set a record for 13 reps in a minute! Comments like “Paul Smith smashed this!” and “Paul smith enters the chat” overshadowed Singleton’s achievement from 2021.

Meanwhile, comments were rooting for this year’s Britain Strongman, Adam Bishop, who was one rep short of matching Singleton – “AB so close on the 12th noooooo”. However, almost all of the contenders came close to creating history, and fans hoped to see them in future WSM championships – “Hope this comes back to WSM oneday. They’ll be a different ref and athletes at least”. Meanwhile, this year’s lineup had an interesting addition.
