Unlike bodybuilding star and actor Lou Ferrigno aka “The Hulk”, or Australian hunk Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd was never a fitness fanatic. However, being an MCU superhero meant he had to focus more on his body, as the movies involve various stunts and action sequences.

Hence, Rudd’s journey from a comedy actor, to a Marvel star, involved some serious physical transformation. In his latest interview, the Ant-Man revealed the key points about his “superhero” fitness regime.

Paul Rudd was recently featured on the Men’s Health Magazine cover and shared some lesser-known details about his famous Hollywood role. Among these, the very first thing included was his physique. He confessed, “Every shirtless scene I had ever done was for comedy’s sake. I had no business doing a shirtless scene [in a superhero movie].”

But he then landed the role of Marvel’s ‘size-changing’ superhero – the Ant-Man. Thus began the 53-year-old’s fitness journey. “I get up and I have a cup of coffee, and then I do cardio before I eat anything.”, explains Rudd.

Unlike other fitness freaks, Rudd does not like training rigorously. He does what makes him happy. “I lift weights, hopefully at least three times a week. And I’ve learned so much about how my body reacts to foods, how it reacts to exercise, and where I’m happiest and how much it affects me mentally….If I’m in this suit, running around playing a character who’s supposed to be a superhero, I just feel better. And I feel less like an impostor,” disclosed the actor.

So, what does People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2021, do other than traveling to the Quantum Realm? Turs out, he absolutely loves American football.
