Movies such as ‘The Twins,’ ‘Terminator’ franchise, and ‘Conan’ franchise made Arnold one rich man. But the king of action movies who also dabbled in comic roles once thought that being paid for just one part wasn’t enough.
Arnold Schwarzenegger once asked to be paid two salaries
Arnold Schwarzenegger has explored the Sci-Fi genre aplenty with his iconic role in the Terminator franchise. But, the movies don’t serve as his sole venture in the genre. In 2000, Arnie starred in another Sci-Fi film called ‘The 6th Day.’ The movie followed a plot in the distant future where human cloning is a success, and the technology falls into the hands of an evil corporation. Schwarzenegger played the protagonist in the movie as he portrayed the character of Adam Gibson and his clone.

While talking about the movie in an old interview, Arnold revealed a funny instance from the sets involving him asking for a dual salary. The interviewer mentioned hearing about “the clone,” asking for some extra money. Arnold replied, “As one character in the movie, you get one salary, which isn’t really good enough! So I went back to the negotiating table and you say, ‘what about two salaries?’ And Mike Medavoy said, ‘Arnold, you’re the producer, why don’t you go and sit down with yourself!?'”
The incident served as yet another example of the sense of humor Arnold possesses. The request for more money meant him taking extra money out of his right pocket and putting it into his left.

While shooting for the much-awaited ‘Twins’ sequel, Arnold tried bringing back a prank from 1988. He infused w**d in a cigar (just like Danny DeVito did in ’88) and gifted it to Danny to smoke. But DeVito smelled the special ingredient and quickly caught on to what Arnie was up to. While this prank did not work out the way Schwarzenegger wanted, some others worked out flawlessly. He once tricked Sylvester Stallone into doing a terrible movie by luring him in on a phone call. Schwarzenegger has also pranked wax museum visitors by standing in place of the wax statue and scaring his fans.
