Ronnie Coleman is a familiar name for anybody who has even a slight interest in bodybuilding. The legend has clinched eight consecutive Mr. Olympia titles and overall 26 IFBB titles in his career before retiring in 2007. Coincidentally, Coleman once pointed out to Shawn Ray the numerical similarity in his professional and personal career.
Shawn Ray was a pro bodybuilder. He competed for a long time in Mr. Olympia, although couldn’t find his way to victory. In 2015, during an interview at LA FitExpo, Coleman brought in the coincidence of his two important aspects of life.

Is that an uncanny coincidence?
Ronnie Coleman is one of the greatest bodybuilders in the history of the sport. Moreover, he is also a perfect family man. Coleman got first married in 2007 to Rouaida Christine Achkar and got divorced soon after.
However, later in his life, he met the love of his life, Susan Williamson, whom he married in 2016 after dating for several years.
They make a great family with their four kids together and eight kids overall. Coleman had two kids before his second marriage, and so does Susan. The ‘eight’ number makes it special for Ronnie. In the interview, Ronnie said, “ I got eight Mr. Olympia, and I got eight kids. One for each kid.”
He has always been close to his family. However, he regrets not being able to spend enough time with his family during his bodybuilding days. But after retiring and marrying the love of his life, Ronnie has dedicated a part of his life to his wife and his daughters. They also stood by him in his lows of injury, pain, and surgeries he had to go through post-retirement.
The sacrifices Ronnie Coleman made during his career might be worth it now
Ronnie has addressed multiple times the sacrifices he made during his career. He always wanted to be the best in everything he does. In bodybuilding, he wanted to be ahead of everyone, and to attain that, he had to sacrifice his family time, party time, and much more. However, after retirement and having a beautiful family with eight kids, it’s his time to compensate for that.
