Mikaela Shiffrin’s Boyfriend Aleksander Kilde Shares a Picture-Perfect Moment With Arnold Schwarzenegger After His Historical Win in Kitzbuhel

Norwegian decorated skier Aleksander Aamodt Kilde triumphed fifth downhill victory of the season this Saturday. The Men’s Downhill World Cup, 2023, is hosted in Kitzbuhel, Austria. Moreover, the Streif course at Kitzbuhel presents the skiers with the most demanding and challenging conditions to ski. Henceforth, a victory on this course makes it even more special for Kilde. The other thing which made it pretty special was the presence of 45,000 spectators, including high-profile names such as bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, former American skiing champion Lindsey Vonn, and the likes. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger has been invested in skiing since the last year. Moreover, he began skiing as an activity to make himself fitter and better. In Kitzbuhel, he met and clicked pictures with the champion of the Men’s Downhill World Cup. Let us have a look at Schwarzenegger at the Streif course during the final.

Arnold Schwarzenegger witnessed the downhill final in Kitzbuhel

Graz, Austria, is the birthplace of Arnold Schwarzenegger, which is almost 220 miles from Kitzbuhel. The Austrian Oak visited his country to witness the final on Saturday. Moreover, he was one of the first with Lindsey Vonn to congratulate Aleksander Aamodt Kilde after he won the final by quite a distance. 

The Eurosport shared a couple of pictures of Schwarzenegger sitting in the stands and congratulating the champion while talking to him. They tweeted, “A very special guest today in Kitzbuhel.”

In addition, the 2023 Downhill World Cup champion, Aleksander Kilde, re-tweeted Eurosport’s tweet. In the re-tweet, he phrased the famous dialogue of Arnold Schwarzenegger from the film, The Terminator. He wrote, “Hahnenkamm: I’ll be back.” 

Arnold once opened up in 2021 in his newsletter that to attain weight loss, he took up skiing. He might have taken some tips from the champion to pursue skiing if he ever decides to do it later. More about his visit to his homeland, there was a bigger cause than watching the World Cup finale.  

Was the World Cup the only reason he visited Austria?

Actually, no. Arnold Schwarzenegger had a bigger cause to visit his hometown. A few years ago, the country came together to fight the drastic change occurring in the climate. In that case, the Austrian Oak also joined the cause and began planning for better conservation of nature. 

The Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative has been there for a long time to spread awareness. Schwarzenegger has been a proactive member of this committee. This year, he visited his hometown to attend the Red Carpet event with his youngest daughter, Christina Schwarzenegger, as a ritual as they did in 2020 as well.
