If you have perseverance and determination, then achieving any dream won’t be a hurdle. Blanka Harvey, 31, is a shining example of this fact. She is a mom of two who once lived on doughnuts and McDonald’s to get through her second pregnancy. Sustaining on an unhealthy diet throughout her trimester, she weighed 182 pounds.

However, post-delivery, the scenario changed; she joined the gym in 2019, and with hard work, managed to lose 70 pounds. However, she did not just stop there; after losing weight, she had much more to achieve in her career.

Blanka Harvey proved her capabilities in bodybuilding

The young mother soon found her true calling in bodybuilding. Transforming herself, she is now all set to compete against 20 other bodybuilders from around the world at the prestigious World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) Championships in Los Angeles on November 19. But how did she manage to reach such an incredible feat? Talking to SWNS, the budding champion opened up.

The tough mother revealed that she joined the gym six weeks after delivering her second child. She eventually went on to take spin classes and soon became a certified personal trainer and Zumba instructor. All she wanted was to set an example for her clients and “to be someone to look up to.” Furthermore, the transformation also had a positive effect on her. She says, “Now I get to laugh and dance and giggle with the Zumba ladies.”

She soon realized that to make her dream become a reality, she needed help and decided to get a coach. Soon she started to work hard and mastered the techniques that helped her win the coveted WNBF Finals in 2021. For the unversed, she started her training in April 2021.

How Harvey paved the road to her success 

Blanka realized that she has to work on herself to achieve her goals. To get fit, the budding bodybuilder ditched her favorite junk food. Talking about her professional journey, she says, “I had my first competition last year, and I won my first show.”

Post that win, she qualified for the British finals, which she eventually won. She won in two categories: the beginner class and the open-height class. Opening up about her accomplishments, the proud bodybuilder said, “I am now a British champion.” To pursue her career in bodybuilding, the 31-year-old has left her corporate career. Her full-time job is now to train for the upcoming competition. Reportedly, she trains six days a week.
