The initial details were first revealed in November 2020, but it unfolded only two years later.

The match was scheduled for September 2021 but deferred to March 2022 because of Hall’s bicep injury. The game was preceded by several months of showboating, which boosted the excitement of boxing fans. Both the Strongest Men had prepped up immensely to rule the ring, with Hafthor taking lessons from Tyson Fury, WBC heavyweight champion. Nick Trigili, Sameer Bannout, and John Hansen were talking through the current and old-school bodybuilding news on the Muscle Maturity Podcast, chapter 41. While taking Thor’s tendon snap in a recent workout session, they divulged more about Thor and Hall’s boxing game. 

Subsequently, Trigili, the IFBB pro, revealed why Thor chose boxing. He said, ” I think he was chasing money though, the reason he went to boxing, I think he was guaranteed a huge payday with the Eddie Hall fight, and that ended up being a big disaster.” He reasoned out the fateful outcome as they pushed the fight back because of injuries, and ” when the fight actually happened, and no one really cared, nobody engaged in the fight. “

No one bought tickets, no one bought the pay-per-view, no one cared,” he added. The match was long drawn till it finally actualized.

While talking about the match details, Trigili said, ” If the fight happened right when it was supposed to happen a year later, I think would have been a great big hit, but it was drawn out, no one’s interest was there anymore. ” Also Thor already boxed ten times, and he was holding in box one time, and when Thor fought Hall, he was an experienced boxer, and it wasn’t fair to Hall.

Hall made his entry with a killer instinct to triumph over the ring while Bjornsson was busy setting up a strong jab and a straight combination of 1-2. The second round was engrossing, where The Beast’s knockdown landed Bjornsson on the floor. The Mountain was far from giving up and brought himself back in form by leveraging his skills to dominate the last four rounds.
