A recent challenge that made headlines involved the legendary bodybuilder, Mike O’Hearn taking on the former NFL star, James Harrison in a shoulder press showdown.

Those who follow James Harrison are familiar with his one-hand shoulder press exercise which is a part of his daily workout routine. However, the exercise came into the limelight when Mike tried his hands on the bar. 

A crazy shoulder press challenge

The two men, both known for their impressive physiques and dedication to fitness, were competing in a one-hand shoulder press contest, with each attempting to lift as much weight as possible over their heads with maximum reps. Harrison managed to perform 5 reps of the exercise with absolute control over his negatives. The simple-looking exercise requires loads of explosive strength of the core and shoulder. But it seems like Mike wasn’t aware of it. He tried to do the same exercise with a lighter weight on the bar. However, while putting up a valiant effort, Mike fell short, as he managed to complete only 3 reps.

He wrote on his Instagram post, “@jhharrison92 absolutely .. destroyed me on this challenge.” For fans of competitive athletics, the challenge between Harrison and O’Hearn was a thrilling display of strength, power, and determination. However, Mike further added to his fans’ excitement and informed them that Harrison is going to be the guest of this week’s ‘Mike O’Hearn show’. “But he’s nice enough, to be this week’s Guest on the Mike O’Hearn show on @generationiron”.
