Brandon Curry is one of the most competitive candidates for Mr. Olympia 2022. As he gears up for the big day, he takes out some time to write a heartfelt message of love and appreciation to his wife, Brandy Leaver.

Curry and Leaver feel like a match made in heaven, as Leaver is also a bodybuilder who made a conscious choice to put her husband’s career as a priority. Curry shared the emotional note on his Instagram handle, highlighting the respect and gratitude he has for her.
Brandon Curry calls his wife a big part of his motivation
Curry’s wife, Leaver, had competed in the IFBB Arnold Classic championships. Although she couldn’t make it to the top 10, she was still a promising player in the sport. With that said, Curry mentioned the sacrifices she made for him and the family.

Curry and Leaver first met in high school. “She walked away from a lot of great opportunity in order to serve and support our family as a wife and mother as our family continued to grow,” Curry pens. The couple is blessed with three sons and a daughter. Moreover, his children and wife are his biggest motivation.

According to the champion, “not letting her down in appreciation for the sacrifices that she continues to selflessly make” motivates him hugely. Feeling blessed for her magnanimity, Curry writes, “I’ve never met a more well-rounded, selfless human.” Leaver also extends support in his other ventures–supplement line and gym.
Brandon Curry’s career trajectory
Curry was gifted a pair of Hulk Hogan dumbells on his sixth birthday that kick-started his passion for weight training. His parents initially enrolled him in gymnastics classes. However, he was more interested in wrestling, track, and field, and football. While studying in college, Curry switched his focus on weight training.

The 2019 title winner began his journey under the light-heavyweight category before moving to the heavyweight. Brandon won his first major championship in 2003, made his debut in Olympia in 2011, and stood 8th. Curry also won the Arnold Classic in 2019.
