Shaquille O’Neal and his admiration for a bodybuilding icon
NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal shared an Instagram story on Kai Greene. It was a video of Kai’s iconic posing routine at the 2016 Arnold Classic. “Amazing posing,” the NBA legend captioned the post. In 2016, Kai Greene incorporated elements of break dancing into his posing routine.
Kai hit all the mandatory poses like front-double biceps, side chest, back-double biceps, and more. However, he used dance moves to transition from one pose to another. Just like the crowd, Kai’s posing impressed Shaq. The former NBA champion recently posted a bodybuilding-inspired posing routine of his own.
Your ability to pick yourself up after being knocked down…it’s about giving it all you have and working your hardest, no matter what you feel like doing .. it’s about being ready no matter what 24 / 7 / 365 pic.twitter.com/imLDbCzj2t

The former basketball player is a fan of bodybuilding. In 2019, O’Neal attended the Mr. Olympia contest. In 2020, Chief Olympia Officer Dan Solomon announced the Honorary Olympia Ambassador for that year. Solomon surprised many fans when he named Shaquille O’Neal. “In recent years, Shaq has become an enthusiastic supporter of Olympia Weekend,” said Solomon.
In 2020, Shaq also revealed his dream. Shaq told Solomon his goal was to get on the Olympia stage and perform a posing routine. “I would do it against Busta Rhymes,” said Shaq. It seems the NBA legend is holding on to his dream.
Shaquille’s incredible body transformation
After retiring, O’Neal gradually became undisciplined. However, in 2020, Shaq made a change. The former champion cleaned up his diet and cut down on junk food. The NBA giant also began working out in the gym. After six months of clean eating and lifting, Shaq lost 30 lbs. “I started to see things I haven’t seen in 20 to 30 years, like a six-pack,” said Shaq.
