Bodybuilding legend Lee Labrada is all about fitness. He is one of those few renowned bodybuilders who never won Mr. Olympia but were remembered for their physique. In 1985, Lee won the Mr. Universe title. He also stood fourth in Mr. Olympia for seven consecutive years. The bodybuilder was also the runner-up in the 1993 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic. Surprisingly, the 62-year-old still managed to look muscular and fit.

Throughout Lee’s bodybuilding career, he has promoted fitness. He desires to help people build fit and toned bodies. Lee earned the opportunity to appear on the cover of over 100 bodybuilding and fitness magazines. He has also been the fitness expert on many reputed channels like CNBC, FOX, NBC, etc.

How does the bodybuilding legend remain fit?

Lee began bodybuilding at the age of 16. He wanted to get into shape to play in his school’s football team. Then, Lee started participating in bodybuilding championships. The fitness expert won his first bodybuilding contest before graduating from high school.

His aura as a fitness enthusiast led to his appointment as the first fitness Czar in the city of Houston. Lee launched a campaign named, “Get Lean Houston!”. He helped Houston residents to stay fit and healthy.

Lee does not look out of shape even at the age of 62. In a recent interview with Fouad Abiad Media, Lee talked about the secret behind his longevity. He said:

“I’ve eaten the traditional bodybuilding way, which is to say five to six meals a day for over 45 years. I really do take good care of my health. I eat very very clean. It helps me to stay healthy,”

Next, he talked about his eating habits;

“Sure. I occasionally will have like a bowl of ice cream, or you know, if somebody is having pasta, I’ll have a few bites. But I tend to eat the good bodybuilding food first, and my wife is a fantastic cook, so it’s not like I’m eating dried chicken breasts and dried potatoes.”

The bodybuilder also stressed eating in moderation. He eats clean food and indulges in complex carbs very little. Lee also focuses on exercising daily. He loves weight training more than any other form of exercise.

What does Lee Labrada do now?

Lee has mastered gym and business. As the bodybuilder was always into fitness, he runs a health and nutrition-oriented company, Labrada Nutrition. It also creates award-winning nutrition and supplement products.
