“My Mom Will Shoot”: Arnold Schwarzenegger Hilariously Gave Dwayne Johnson a Warning for His Statement on Rivalry With Sylvester Stallone in 2021

Dwayne Johnson has become a massive action star in the last decade. His movies make hundreds of millions at the box office. However, Johnson said it wouldn’t be possible without Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. In 2021, “The Rock” spoke about settling the age-old debate surrounding Schwarzenegger and Stallone’s rivalry.

During the 80s and 90s, Arnold and Sly shared an iconic rivalry. The pair locked horns at every opportunity to outdo one another. However, decades later, when Dwayne spoke about settling the long-standing debate of who is the better action icon, Arnold left a hilarious warning on his Instagram post.

Arnold Schwarzenegger hilariously hints at why he is better

On April 7, 2021, Johnson took to Instagram to promote his show Young Rock, which airs on NBC. He shared a clip from the then-upcoming episode and captioned the post, “TONIGHT on #YoungRock, I settle the most powerful question of ALL ACTION HERO questions… STALLONE or SCHWARZENEGGER? 💪🏾💥” He also tagged the Hollywood action icons.

While Stallone didn’t comment on Johnson’s post, Arnold left a hilarious comment with a hidden reference. “I couldn’t have asked for a greater star and a better man to stand on my shoulders,” wrote Arnold. Arnold also said the decades-old debate needs to stop. He and Sly have put aside their differences and have become good friends.

However, Arnold also hilariously hinted he was the better action star. “As for the Stallone or Schwarzenegger question, I’ve gotten it so my times,” wrote Arnold. “I have to say that it has to stop, or my mom will shoot,” wrote the action icon.

The final few words of Arnold’s comment referenced Stallone’s infamous movie, “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot”. Arnold once revealed how he tricked Stallone into playing the protagonist in the film because he knew it would fail at the box office. Not only did the movie fail, but Stallone also received a golden raspberry award for the worst actor.

Dwayne Johnson is grateful for the icons who paved the way 

While writing about settling the decades-old debate about who’s the better action star, Dwayne Johnson didn’t forget to show his gratitude to Arnie and Sly. “Sly and Arnold were MY HEROES growing up and I will forever be GRATEFUL to them,” wrote Dwayne. Johnson also mentioned the duo supported him when he first broke into Hollywood.

The former WWE wrestler said Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone will always be “KINGS 👑”. “I just got to be the lucky SOB they welcomed to stand on their shoulders,” wrote Johnson.
