It is a well-known fact that ‘The Incredible Hulk’ himself, Lou Ferrigno, is a renowned name in the world of bodybuilding. Despite not tasting the glory of a Mr. Olympia title, he still had a prominent bodybuilding career, and later ventured into Hollywood. The legend has always been linked to the Hulk character. In 2020, Lou Ferrigno played a character in the short film PERPS.

Ferrigno claims that the comedy film is a certified rib tickler. However, a particular scene in the short film showed why no one messes with the Hulk!

“My last name is Ferrigno, not Ferragamo!” Lou Ferrigno tweeted this out, which was a dialogue from the movie. However, the scene that led to this was hilarious. The story of the comedy short film starts off with two friends exiting the theater. They had a good time together and wanted to call it a day after smoking. Although they got interrupted by a heartbroken police officer who was on a mission to take revenge on his ex.

On that mission, the two friends also get involved with him. Claiming to be a black belt, the guy tries to deface the car of the ex-girlfriend’s current love interest. Little did he know that it was none other than Lou Ferrigno.
Ferrigno came out of the house and screamed, “What the f*** are you doing to my car?” The guy knew Ferrigno, although he misspelled it as Ferragmo. “Lou Ferrigno and you’re gonna be dead tonight,” Ferrigno replied. The Hulk got into character and punched the guy who claimed to be a black belt in karate. He might be a black belt in karate, but he was too weak for the Incredible Hulk himself.

Lou Ferrigno has a reason to get into the character of the Hulk. Since childhood, he has always drooled over this fictional character. He wanted to be as powerful as the Hulk. The reason for that was his hard-of-hearing condition, which led to him being bullied in school. Such factors made young Ferrigno power-hungry.

He was a successful bodybuilder earlier in his life and continued to pursue his passion. He did win the IFBB Mr. Universe two times, but was never able to taste the glory of Mr. Olympia. Despite all that, while preparing for his next Olympia in 1977, Ferrigno’s childhood dream came true when he was offered the role of his favorite fictional character, the Hulk.
