Most people have a habit of changing their exercise routine regularly feeling that the muscles will “get used” to a movement and there wouldn’t be any muscle growth beyond. “They don’t allow themselves the opportunity to actually progressively overload any specific movement”, Cohen complains. This serves as a prime reason why many people won’t see any progress in their journey toward muscle growth.

The powerlifter and doctorate holder suggests concentrating on 15 or 20 exercises on rotation per month for acing the technique and better muscle growth. She says “The concept of muscle confusion is on page 1 of the bro science bible.”

She challenges it by adding that muscles don’t grow when confused. Instead, they grow when tension is applied to them at the right intensities, and that too for a prolonged period in a progressive manner. She suggests keeping every exercise in the program for at least 3-4 weeks.

The post also received opinionated comments. “Doesn’t matter if you’re in an athletic sport, bodybuilding, or some other industry requiring your body to perform. 3-4 weeks is NOT enough time for that.” sharing an opinion a follower commented.
