Bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger and author and journalist Maria Shriver might not be together anymore, but the two have done a spectacular job in raising their children. Their eldest, Katherine Schwarzenegger is their biggest supporter. And she proved it yet again after sharing the proud work of her dad. While there are very few things left for the 7X Mr. Olympia to achieve, he was recently seen dipping his toes into something novel for society. His eldest daughter, who isn’t really satisfied with the work of local authorities, couldn’t be more proud of her father.

At age 75, Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen out on the road with a shovel in his hand, doing some repair work. His daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger shared the same in her Instagram story to further motivate her fans and followers. While a slight dig at the government for missing the job on their part wasn’t amiss.

At 75, Arnold Schwarzenegger barely breaks a sweat

Katherine Schwarzenegger wrote in her Instagram story, “Only way to get things done in Los Angeles. Doing it yourself”. She shared the clip of her dad with a shovel and a bag of Quickrete, out on the road, fixing a pothole. Arnold Schwarzenegger himself embodied the notion that ‘if no one else does it, something must be done by yourselves’. And Katherine Schwarzenegger followed the idea.

Arnold Schwarzenegger wrote in his Instagram post, “Today after the whole neighborhood has been upset about this giant pothole that’s been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it. I always say, let’s not complain, let’s do something about it. Here you go”. Always a handyman himself, Schwarzenegger completed the task with his bare hands, as passersby thanked him for it.

Although he completed the work himself, his slight frustration with the lack of initiative by road authorities could be sensed in his reply to the passerby. Schwarzenegger said, “You are welcome. For 3 weeks I have been waiting…” as the lady in the car thanked him.

A supportive family

Katherine Schwarzenegger thought it was incumbent upon herself to share this motivational moment involving her dad, with her fans and followers. The Schwarzenegger family has always had the back of each other. Be it Maria Shriver and Patrick Schwarzenegger during Katherine Schwarzenegger’s book launch ‘Good Night Sister’, or Arnold Schwarzenegger himself during any of his children’s endeavors. The Schwarzenegger family has been one strong, single unit.

Whether this would have a ripple effect or not, only time can tell. But for the time being, the story serves as a wholesome reminder of supporting one’s family members and their endeavors.
