Chris Bumstead just made it clear that he is going to celebrate after Mr. Olympia, no matter how the competition goes for him.

Mr. Olympia (2022), one of bodybuilding’s most essential events,  is all set to take place in Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas from 15 December 2022 to 18 December 2022. It is expected to be a ginormous event with a much bigger turnout than in previous years.

Mr. Olympia is taking place in Las Vegas this time, the party capital of the USA. So is Bumstead going to tear it up in the clubs? Well, it turns out that’s not his idea of celebrating after the event. Instead of partying the night away, Chris Bumstead wants to spend some quality time with his family.

Bumstead predicts, and rightly so, that their friends will likely spend the night at the club. “Regardless of the outcome, you know we’re in Vegas this year so a lot of our friends are going to go to the club, rent a table at the club, and partying.”

He, however, wants to go a different way. Bumstead wants to make mug cakes with his family.

“So I’ll be probably going back with my family. Courtney, my parents, Melissa Iain, Calvin, and Matty, to the hotel room, making a mug cake. Enjoying it with my family.” According to him, being there is nothing better than relaxing with his loved ones. “Because that’s all I really care about”.

Importance of Routine for Bumstead

According to Bumstead, the Champion mentality is not formed in a day, a week, or even a month. It takes years of dedication and hard work. Which probably the reason why Chris Bumstead does not want any breaks in his workout routine, even for taking a day off after the competition.

He wants to “…go to bed early, wake up and do cardio. Cause that’s what I do every year.” His dedication and hard work are the basis for his success. Bumstead’s logic is that “winning doesn’t happen on show day”. Every difficult goal brings out fear in all of us, but Chris Bumstead strives to make the best of this fear, and that’s what sets him apart from others.

It’s hard to find fault in that logic because of pre-show training, strict workout routines that push his body to the limit, and a “never quit” attitude that make him one of the best bodybuilders out there. Now we need to wait and see how these qualities help him in the upcoming Mr. Olympia championship.
