American pro bodybuilder Nick Walker has been a distinguished competitor since he earned his pro card in 2020. He won the 2021 Arnold Classic and finished as the 2nd best competitor in the 2022 Mr. Olympia. His insane build is one of the key derivatives of his popularity in the industry. However, the athlete has unique plans post-retirement.  

In a recent Instagram story, Walker updated his fans about his game plan after he retires from the professional competing sphere. On that note, he stated that he was going to minimize the intensity of his workout routines and maintain a relatively “downsize” form. Wonder what the champion has in his mind? Let’s find out. 

Nick Walker to ease out on bodybuilding post-retirement

As per his social media update, the 28-year-old athlete revealed that he is certainly not adhering to his present robust build after he decides to pull out from the pro competitions for good. Moreover, he intends to downscale his frame since it won’t make sense to maintain it if he is not contending. 

The question enquired, Do you plan to keep your gainz after you retire? A downsized version of course.” Responding to it, Walker disclosed, “A downsized version for sure. No reason to be this big if your not competing anymore.” Nonetheless, he doesn’t imply that he shall simply abandon iron pumping altogether. “I will still be training and staying in great shape just not as big lol.” he said.

This is a familiar instance amongst pro competitors, given the amount of vigorous training and diet plans they have to abide by in order to maintain a top order of their physiques. Hence, The Mutant is no different and has already mapped out his retirement scheme. Anyway, the pro has a lot of years ahead of his end game, which brings us back to his 2022 Mr. Olympia build that once left the bodybuilding world in awe.

The IFBB ace wasn’t done with his exhibit after last year’s Mr. Olympia competitions. What seemed like an after-effect of the event, he took to Instagram to share a workout video highlighting his bouldering biceps. The caption read, “Bicep pump after a show is the best pump.”

The young power-lifter hasn’t settled in for less ever since his debut. Furthermore, his hard-core workouts have evidently fetched him significant fame and recognition.
