Ever since the 1960s, bodybuilding has been constantly evolving to reach where it’s at today. From a time when the natural growth of muscles and a complete denial of drug enhancement were prevalent among bodybuilders, to now when several bodybuilders talk openly about how Performance Enhancement Drugs have helped them, bodybuilding has come a long way. More recently, a 7X Mr. Olympia winner, Phil Heath answered a question on Instagram about some of the injectables that are his favorites. His answer was honest and uninhibited.

Transcend Company Inc. is one of the United States’ leading telehealth providers. They recently shared a clip of the reputed bodybuilder, talking about some of their products that have helped him over the years. Here’s what he said.

Reading the question from a card, Heath said, “Favorite injectable stack with transcend?” Injectable stacks are steroids that bodybuilders often take to enhance their muscles and overall physique. Heath went on to narrate all ones he has taken and how beneficial it has been for his health.

He said, Start out in the morning – BPC-157 and TB-500, for sure. Before I train, IGF-1. I love that. And before I go to sleep, I am taking that Tesamorelin Ipamorelin, and I sleep like a baby. And when I wake up and I feel a lot leaner. One cool thing about that is I don’t have the carpal tunnel and I don’t have the insulin sensitivity problems that I once had doing human growth hormone. So, that’s really a good injectable stack that I do, and then obviously I’m doing 200 milligrams of testosterone cypionate”

Heath’s admission of taking these injectables and their advantages comes on the heels of a very sensitive topic that’s oft debated in the current bodybuilding scenario. Ronnie Coleman once said on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, that bodybuilders always took steroids, but it was completely legal and to a limited dosage. Coleman himself quashed any rumors of overindulgence, saying that he probably wasn’t taking any more than some baseball players. However, the discussion and admission around it have changed a lot since. Heath himself on one occasion accused some of the new-age bodybuilders of overusing it.

From intake to dependency—Phil Heath expressed his opinions on new-age bodybuilders

During his appearance last month on the Cutler Cast podcast with 4XMr. Olympia winner Jay Cutler, Phil Heath bashed the overuse of drugs in present-day bodybuilding. While its usage was never really out of question, Heath openly called out the over-reliance on steroids. Joe Rogan and YouTuber Derek from More Plates More Dates (who also exposed Liver King) have also made accusations of steroid use on celebrities like Dwayne Johnson and Hugh Jackman (for Wolverine) who have always constantly denied using them.
