The year 2022 witnessed one of the greatest events of bodybuilding in December. The 58th Mr. Olympia was a great way to close the year. While Hadi Choopan beat everyone to take the title home, all others did not go empty-handed. Two men specifically made an impression at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. Nick Walker from the USA took third place and Samson Dauda from the UK took the 6th place and both took a sizable cash prize home.

Nick Walker and Guy Cisternino recently started a channel on YouTube called ‘The Mutant and the Mouth’. In Episode 1, Cisternino was asking Walker about his Mr. Olympia 2022 experience and what according to him, could have been different. Cisternino also asked Walker about his thoughts on Samson Dauda, and this is what he had to say.
Nick Walker on Samson Dauda and Bodybuilding
Cisternino inquired from Nick Walker what his thoughts were on Mr. Olympia 2022 in general and Samson Dauda in particular. According to Walker, “Samson’s a freak. And, you know, I’m definitely excited to see what he does at the Arnold, what he could do at the next year’s Olympia.”
Nick Walker and Samson Dauda are both making rounds in the bodybuilding community for being huge muscular guys. It’s the general opinion that they are going to do even better at the next year’s Olympia.
In the episode, Walker said, “My personal opinion on Samson though. I personally think he should sit out the Arnold and try focus on either making more improvements for the Olympia. Cause he could, I mean, he could.. cause a lot of havoc, you know. His only downfall was that he wasn’t conditioned enough.”
While Nick Walker expressed in the episode that he should have won the contest, not everyone is of the same opinion. In fact, bodybuilding coach Milos Sarcev, according to an article in Fitness Volt, believes that Dauda should in fact have beaten Walker.
Nick Walker vs. Samson Dauda
Milos Sarcev believes that Dauda should have finished third instead of Walker. Dauda was even termed as the dark horse going into the Olympia competition as he was the biggest of all the participants at a whopping 330 pounds. Not only could Dauda take Walker’s third place according to Sarcev, but he could also beat Derek Lunsford for the second place pose by pose, as Lunsford was still soft in a lot of places.

Even though Samson Dauda could not bring it home this Mr. Olympia, Sarcev is confident that Dauda is going to win the future Olympias. He has labeled Dauda as ‘The Future Threat’. It was Samson Dauda’s first time and in an Instagram post he shared, Dauda is confident that he will be coming back stronger than ever and make a place for himself in the IFBB Pro League.
