Unlike his father, seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger, Patrick never gravitated toward bodybuilding. Instead, Patrick is a fan of two of the most popular sports in America: baseball and football. “The Long Road Home” actor often tweets about his favorite teams from both sports.

Earlier today, the “Terminal List” actor reacted to the news of a massive, multi-year, multimillion-dollar purchase the current National League champs made.
Patrick Schwarzenegger celebrates the surprise announcement
Patrick Schwarzenegger took to Twitter earlier today. The MLB Network tweeted about the Philadelphia Phillies picking up a new player for their team. MLB Network tagged the official Philadelphia Phillies Twitter handle in their post. “The @Phillies continue to add. The NL champs have reportedly bolstered their rotation,” they wrote in the caption.
According to MLB Network, the Phillies have signed RHP Taijuan Walker for a 4-year deal. The contract is worth a massive $71 million. Patrick could see National League champions building up their squad during the off-season. The young actor retweeted the post with the caption, “D***. They going all in.”

Walker is the second big signing for the NL champions in a matter of days. On December 6, news surfaced about a mega deal. MLB superstar Trea Turner signed a contract with the Phillies. However, unlike Walker, the short-spot inked an 11-year contract worth a whopping $300 million. Patrick is probably aware of the Turner signing, and that’s why he used the term “all in” in his caption.
Taijuan Walker is a right-handed pitcher. Walker is signing with the Philadelphia Phillies after spending two seasons with the Ney York Mets. The Phillies are trying to bolster the squad and become National League champions again next year.
That time when Arnold Schwarzenegger broke a bat
While Patrick is a baseball fan, his father, Arnold Schwarzenegger, was never much of a fan of the sport. However, in 1987, the seven-time Mr. Olympia appeared in a few snapshots with an MLB legend. In the pictures, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brian Downing posed beside one another. In one image, the former Mr. Olympia is snapping a baseball bat in half while Downing smiles at the camera.

In another picture, the duo laughed as Arnold pointed to the broken bat. Downing, like Arnold, also had a superb physique. In both images, Downing looks just as buff as the bodybuilding icon.
