The 2023 Arnold Classic will take place in Columbus, Ohio, from March 2-5. In a recent interview with Rx Muscle, the Serbian legend took a closer look at the contestants and judged their performances. While talking about the former 2x Mr. Olympia Big Ramy, Sarcev said, “…there was that stigma that he was just going to overpower everybody. Thank God, there was my guy standing right next to him. Samson, I don’t know if you guys felt that way, but Samson for the first time holding in the size department against somebody that was envisioned to dominate.”

In fact, Sarcev also thought it was of utmost importance that the former Mr. O gives his best for fans to call for him for the next big event in November. The legend continued, “If he doesn’t deliver it, it’s a danger he’s going to be fighting for a top five [spot] here. If he does deliver it, does he have a chance of winning, yes.”

Evidently, he’s got to do well to re-establish his name on the coveted stage. According to Sarcev, it’s imperative for him to spread dominance, as there are few others who have the prowess to outshine him. He then mentions his pupil Samson Dauda, who he thinks looks massive this year.

His view on Dauda

In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports, Sarcev assessed Dauda’s physique. Sarcev implied, “Right now, for Arnold Classic, I have only one competitor, Samson Dauda, but that one can, I hope will take the show.” The veteran is confident that in the AC, Dauda will prove to be valuable.

He then went on to describe how bodybuilding is more than muscle building and that his “breed” Dauda is a combination of shape mechanics, force, and balance. Sarcev also shared how he, with Samson, wants to bring back the beauty of bodybuilding from the 90s when being in a good shape was much preferred that muscle mass.
