After a series of setbacks and stagnation, his continued and persistent effort bore fruit in his first Arnold Classic victory in 2002 and again in 2003 and 2004. The biggest break came from his Mr. Olympia win in 2006 dethroning Ronnie Coleman, an 8x Mr. Olympia. It then propelled him to riches with multiple endorsement deals, appearances in magazines, and his own bodybuilding supplement company. In an interview in 2014, he shared his fondness for cars as a kid and more.
Jay Cutler wasn’t quick to spend money on cars
Just like every kid, Cutler had posters of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. Invoking his love for automobiles, the interviewer asked which car he bought for himself when he had “some gravy-type money.” He bought the 7 Series BMW once he started earning well.

Cutler mentioned that since he lived in Massachusetts, buying a convertible sports car was ideal, considering the favorable weather. “My next splurge was the Corvette when I moved to California, because of the weather,” he said. Thereafter, he bought many BMW trucks.
Initially, he was reluctant to spend money on vehicles as he was concerned about their value decreasing. He said, “I have a hard time spending a ton of money on vehicles because they just depreciate so quickly, but some I do have to have.” Furthermore, Cutler said that he started buying Porsche vehicles as he progressed in his career.
Cutler didn’t fancy sports cars
He loves Ferraris and Lamborghinis, however; they are not for him as he is too huge to fit in them. “They’re nice to look at, but they’re not that fun to drive”, he explained.

He continued that he had driven all of them and remarked, “..it’s like you’re whipping around and you can’t really go many places comfortably.” Besides, Cutler said that he travels a lot with “an entourage” and a sports car can accommodate a maximum of two people.
