Back in 2014, the Midnight Sun actor, Patrick Schwarzenegger, was dating the Wrecking Ball singer, Miley Cyrus. According to Emirates 24/7 news, Shriver was disgusted with Cyrus’s 22nd birthday celebration that year. Furthermore, Cyrus’s wild and unhinged persona made Shriver worry about her son.

“Maria is very, very worried about the influence Miley’s having on Patrick. She fully believes that you become who you surround yourself with and she’s always been so happy with the friends Patrick chooses, she never saw this coming,” a source revealed.

Miley Cyrus was reportedly Patrick Schwarzenegger’s celebrity crush for a long time. Hence, it was like a dream come true for the then-21-year-old Patrick Schwarzenegger to date the singer. However, much to Shriver’s relief, the relationship that had started in November 2014 lasted for only five months.

Papa Schwarzenegger wasn’t worried about Patrick Schwarzenegger

In an interview after the couple had broken up, the Terminator actor gave two reasons why he wasn’t perturbed about Patrick dating the singer. Talking to Howard Stern on a radio show, Arnie said that, firstly, he believed his children were strong enough to take their own responsible decisions. While they led a life that was adventurous and socialized with all kinds of people, papa Schwarzenegger was certain that his children knew their limits.

Secondly, Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed that he met Cyrus when she visited Sun Valley during the holidays.
