After a successful career in bodybuilding and Hollywood, Arnold Schwarzenegger had a spectacular run at the Governor’s office in California for two terms since 2003. Though Schwarzenegger served the community officially till 2011, his acts of service didn’t seize after retirement. To date, Schwarzenegger continues to do his best to give back to society. From encouraging young minds to pick a healthy lifestyle every day to filling up the potholes recently, Arnie is there for the people. However, as the saying goes, ‘no matter what you do, someone will always be unhappy.’
Even Schwarzenegger’s recent act of kindness was subjected to criticism and question. This prompted the bodybuilding legend to come forward to defend himself. While the Austrian Oak was capable of facing the situation alone, his fans were furious, and some joined in defending him. So, what was this incident all about?

On April 12, Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a video of himself filling a giant pothole in his neighborhood. He claimed that the community has been facing challenges as the pothole affected their vehicles. Ultimately, Schwarzenegger and his team took it upon themselves to find a solution. At the end of his tweet, he urged his followers to act instead of just complaining.
While his tweet carried an inspiring message, it didn’t sit well with the authorities. When the authorities were questioned, the Los Angeles Department of Public Works alleged that it wasn’t a pothole. Instead, it was the site of an ongoing pipeline project which had been put on hold due to unfavorable weather conditions. The statement was perceived as the department implying that Schwarzenegger’s act hindered their active gas work. This eventually led to some netizens criticizing Schwarzenegger for interfering in the government’s work.
Last night, Schwarzenegger again took to Twitter, but this time to defend himself. He pointed out that the work was completed in January, but the pothole hadn’t been filled till April. Hence, he just did the department a favor by filling it up. Most fans, too, came out to defend Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Fans were fuming as controversy surrounded the Governator
