Branding himself as the CEO of positivity, fitness influencer Joey Swoll finds himself in the media limelight but all for the wrong reasons. Enjoying 6 million followers on TikTok, Swoll is known to provide one-on-one coaching. He promotes body positivity and has been working towards helping help in reaching their bodybuilding goals.

However, recently he landed in the pool of troubles as he re-posted a video of a woman as an example of how most women at the gym have been labeling men as “creeps” at the gym. However, shedding light on the other side of the narrative, the woman shares how the incident had made her lose her “source of income.”

Some days back, Nora posted a video on TikTok of a man whom she spotted while working out in the gym. Calling him out as a “gym creeper,” Nora hardly anticipated that her video would soon expose her to online threats and harassment. Swoll also re-posted the clip on his account with his own take.

The old man was allegedly “staring at ladies” when Nora caught him on camera while he was seated on some exercise equipment. The video has since been deleted. But Swoll didn’t hesitate to correct her. He assembled Nora’s original video and shared it with his 6.4 million TikTok fans. He posted the video and said, “could you imagine if this was the other way around and he did this to you?”

Following this, Nora started receiving online threats and harassment messages. The video has now been viewed over 6.3 million times. Speaking with Insider, Nora had earlier called out against Swoll for trying to build a ‘fake narrative.’ She remarked, “He shared my video on his platform with a fake narrative, making me out to be the bad guy.” Nora quipped how Swoll has built a narrative that shows her to be “rude or cruel.”

Nora tried to explain how the shared video is delusional and had negatively impacted her. She also addressed the avalanche of online harassment she has received ever since. Nora also remarked how she was forced to delete all her social media accounts- even the one that was on her Pinterest page.

She is getting constant phone calls in addition to abusive comments. She remarked, “They were going hard to try to find me with the intention of […] making me lose my source of income.” Nora expressed concern for her own safety as well. She has also been receiving “death threats” since the entire affair.
