In 2017, Katherine joined Febreze and Charmin for the “Halftime Bathroom Break” ad campaign. As her “party host” mother, Maria Shriver was out of town for the football event, Katherine took the responsibility of hosting her family and friends for the event.

During an interview with AoI, Katherine revealed how Shriver had inspired her to host parties for the famous family. She said, “She loves throwing parties, and because I grew up watching her throw parties, in turn I’ve started to love throwing parties of my own as I’ve gotten older. She’s taught me so many things about how to host and throw a perfect party!”

However, Katherine also revealed how her mother gave her some rare advice about hosting parties and “guest bathrooms”. While recollecting the unusually important party hack, Katherine said, “When I actually heard about this campaign, it was funny because one of the things she’s always told me is to make sure your guest bathroom is ready, and that it’s just like every other room, so you shouldn’t neglect that.”
