Before the modern-day revelation of CGI and special effects that turned Mark Ruffalo into Hulk in a matter of seconds, there was Lou Ferrigno. Bodybuilding legend Lou Ferrigno was the Incredible Hulk from 1977-1982. On a separate note, one of the modern-day hunks Joe Manganiello rose to fame with his role in Steven Soderbergh’s 2012 male-stripper movie Magic Mike. And the two recently collaborated together for a fun gym workout session.

One of Ferrigno’s earliest known roles was in the 1977 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, Pumping Iron.  Those two words have been associated with him ever since, and today at age 71, Ferrigno is still pumping iron with the relatively younger 46-year-old, Joe Manganiello.

Lou Ferrigno took to his Instagram and wrote, “Pumping Iron for the next Magic Mike” followed by a laughter emoji. He continued, “With the one and only @joemanganiello” with a punching fist emoji this time. Finally, Ferrigno concluded his caption with, “Great guy and training partner”. In the small clip posted alongside, it seemed as if Ferrigno had taken Manganiello for a total ride inside the gym.

The clip started with Manganiello exhausted after a training session. Lou Ferrigno grasps him by his shoulders and compliments him for training hard. He jokingly said, “Not bad for an old guy”, before patting Manganiello on his right shoulder and leaving. Manganiello sighed an emphatic “whoo”.
