As Katherine, the eldest daughter of former couple Maria Shriver and Schwarzenegger, gets a year older, the family comes together. Making the day even more special for the birthday girl, Mama Shriver takes to her Instagram to share a heart-warming message.

As the self-help book author and mother-of-two Katherine turned 33, Mama Shriver is beaming with joy. Calling her the “best mama, wife, daughter, sister, friend, cousin, and confidante,” Maria pays her beloved baby girl a heart-warming tribute.

Taking it to her Instagram, Maria, in a sweet gesture, shared a short video that featured some previously unseen snaps. As the song Birthday Girl played in the background, Katherine and fans were taken down memory lane. Showering her daughter with love, Shriver adds that she has a “heart of gold.”

Appreciating her for her caring nature, the former journalist added, “You are my everything! Nothing makes me prouder than to be your mama.” The Kenedy clan descendant also revealed how happy she gets in her company. Thanking the almighty, Maria said, “God gave me the greatest gift in the world when he made me your mama!”

Preparing it from scratch, the grandmom was spotted decorating the cake with white frosting. As for Katherine, she was also spotted stepping out for a birthday lunch with her family. Accompanied by her husband, Chris Pratt, younger sister Christina, brother Patrick, and mother Maria, Katherine had a huge smile as she effortlessly pulled off a casual look.
