Ferrigno also worked with the world-famous singer and performer Michael Jackson in the 90s. Hence, the bodybuilder once thought Jackson’s sudden death in 2009 was mysterious.
Lou Ferrigno expressed his concerns related to MJ’s death:
In the early 90s and 2009, Ferrigno trained Jackson to get fit for his various concerts. However, in the same year, the American singing icon passed away as a result of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.
Jackson’s sudden death caused a media stir. Later, in an interview with ET in 2011, Jackson’s close friend and personal trainer Ferrigno also expressed his views regarding the singer’s demise. He said, “Michael did not deserve to die. Something happened – that’s what we’re finding out now.”
According to the legend bodybuilder, the “King of Pop” did not die a natural death, as he had met the singer a few days before the incident and claimed that the singer was fit. “There were no signs of physical stress,” revealed Ferrigno.
However, the most shocking thing for Ferrigno was Jackson’s physician, Dr. Conrad Murray’s helplessness during this critical situation. While expressing his thoughts, Ferrigno said, “Myself, being a Deputy Sheriff for the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Dept., if I was there I would have instantly given him CPR.”
However, no further investigation regarding the singer’s death took place. This left Ferrigno’s mind shrouded with mystery.
