Time again, the 8x Mr. Olympia title winner shares his working-out clips on his social handles. One may recall the image of the 5’11″tall doing the iconic 800-pound squat. They may remember him lifting weight equivalent to the weight of a car during his prime, but what about when he was new to the sport?

Ronnie Coleman revealed that he is naturally strong 

Unlike other bodybuilders, strength came naturally to Ronnie. He never sighed away from crediting his genes for his power. When he sat down for an interview with the ‘Generation Iron Fitness Network’ team in 2018, he had much to say about his ‘natural strength.’

Reiterating the fact, the bodybuilder commented, I had said this. I’m just naturally strong. So you know everything I did was really strong.” Explaining his stand further, he said, “even I think, when I was an amateur, I was squatting 600 for ribs and deadlift in 600 reps and stuff like that.”

Thus, for him, there was not much difficulty when it came to lifting such insane weights. As he quotes, it came “easy” for him. He may have undergone 13 major surgeries, but there’s no stopping The King. Braving all the hurdles, the legend stays active and regularly hits the gym. Making the best use of YouTube to keep the younger generation inspired, last year Ronnie posted a clip from his film on his official page that received crazy reactions.

Ronnie does 800 pounds of squats like a pro

Yes, you heard that right. For The King, ‘800 pounds‘ was not a difficult task. He used that insane weight just during his squats. When Ronnie posted the video on YouTube, the video received millions of views. It did not just leave the people awestruck but also left them inspired.

As Ronnie sat down to explain his exercise routine. He said, “My thought process began on my way to the gym when I was riding in the car.” He further added that he was mentally preparing himself before attempting the lift.

He reminded himself, “I was getting myself psyched up, telling myself I knew I could do it because… I had done the 800-pound deadlift two years before.” One may have taken a step back, but for Ronnie, there’s no excuse. He is hence The King for a reason!
