Jay Cutler reveals the secret part of his diet

A bodybuilder like Jay Cutler required a unique diet to accommodate his body. Along with the regular carbs and supplements, the legend upped his protein intake. While preparing a plate of white rice, he told how he was a regular customer at the butcher shop, with his massive order of 140 pounds of chicken. His extreme diet, however, did not stop there!

Cutler mentioned that he had two freezers – one for the pounds of chicken and the other for red meat. The bodybuilder confessed, “I would buy a whole cow at a time, I’d buy 140 pounds of chicken at a time. I would go to a local butcher, I literally bought a whole cow at a time.” This way, he made up for his protein intake while rigorously training to make it big in bodybuilding.

Cutler curated this diet in order to satisfy his compulsory requirement of 500 grams of protein in a day. So several pounds of meat, along with other protein sources like egg whites, helped the champion gain prize-winning muscles.

Would Cutler ever crave junk?

Post competitions, bodybuilders have often revealed a wide variety of cravings, ranging from pizzas to desserts. However, Jay Cutler had a completely different approach to cravings after a competition. He would not want junk food, but something entirely different.

Since bodybuilders would often resort to dehydrating themselves before competitions, Cutler would just feel incredibly thirsty. He then wouldn’t care for food, he would only want to drink gallons of water. Armed with an extreme diet and dedication to the sport, Jay Cutler has miraculously maintained his form even years after retirement.
