In the Pump Club newsletter, the 7x Mr. Olympia diligently covered every alcove of uniform sleeping patterns and their correlation to overall vigor. He pulled off the curtains from the health issues that the irregular sleeping pattern poses and stated, “If you don’t have a set bedtime, you might want to pay close attention”. More so, the irregularity in bedtime routine is “tied to cardiovascular disease, mood disorders, and other health problems”.
Underlining the importance of consistency in sleeping behavior, the Terminator conceded, “The best time to go to sleep is the time you can consistently maintain”. He then revealed the research statistics behind irregular sleep cycles and mentioned its negative effects on cardiovascular health. “Recent research examined more than 2,000 adults and found that those who were consistently inconsistent with their bedtime were more likely to have hardened arteries than those who slept at the same time each night”, added the Austrian.
While talking about sleep deprivation and its consequences, the bodybuilder added, “research suggested that people who didn’t have a set sleep schedule were twice as likely to have cardiovascular disease. And another study of 90,000 people linked the lack of a bedtime routine to mood disorders”. Now, that’s some alarming stats.
