The 2022 Mr. Olympia results were a surprise for the bodybuilding community. From fans to experts in the field, very few anticipated Hadi Choopan’s triumphs, instead most eyes were hooked on the runner-up, Nick Walker aka The Mutant. On that note, IFBB veteran, Milos Sarcev once took the opportunity to elucidate where the latter went wrong, as he often enlightens the sphere with his wealth of wisdom. However, Sarcev received flak for his honest reviews and was marked as a “hater” of the young athlete. 

In a recent Instagram post, Sarcev cleared the air on their assumed feud and clapped back at the critics with an admirable and graceful effort. He shared a picture featuring Walker and himself, radiating positive vibes. Along with the picture was an elaborate caption that entailed his respect for the pro. The former icon also justified his statements with good humor, claiming that he sustains no hard feelings for the champion.

“President of the Nick Walker “haters” club, with man himself @nick_walker39 🙌🏻,” the caption bluntly stated. The statement itself was an insinuation of their healthy bond. The 59-year-old bodybuilder asserted that he has explicitly mentioned that he holds no negative feelings for the former Arnold Classic winner.

“I said numerous times and I will say it again – I have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for this man. He is an absolute bodybuilding phenomenon with legitimate chances of winning the Mr. Olympia…and I mean that wholeheartedly,” Sarcev wrote. Furthermore, he claimed that his criticism and judgments were completely based on performance, regardless of his relationship with the athlete.

Thus, the Serbian pro explained that his critiques“have nothing to do with favoring my athlete(s) and/or disliking Nick (or others)…and everyone should realize that.” Speaking of the captivating moment, Sarcev revealed that the 28-year-old was “a good sport” when he asked him to click a picture for his “Nick’s Hater’s Club.” “Now, I am thinking of using this picture for a T-shirts and Hoodies,” he satirically concluded. Among the other pros, was bodybuilding beast, Jay Cutler, who also predicted Walker as the 2022 champion.

In his podcast, Cutlercast, the 49-year-old icon, and Sarcev sat down to chat about the lags in The Mutant’s physique. Hence, the former admitted to his miscalculation and said, “We were all wrong about Ramy. Ramy did not produce as we expected.” 

Whereas Sarcev had predicted that Walker wouldn’t be able to set the title to his name, neither at Mr. Olympia nor at the Classics. Nevertheless, it is evident he meant no disrespect or had any past grudges over the young star athlete. It was simply an analysis of his aesthetic developments of the physique.

The results of these bodybuilding events hint at the highly unpredictable nature of the sport. Even the best athletes face a tough time deducing the winners with accuracy. Besides, keeping all the competitive traits aside, bodybuilders like Milos Sarcev exhibit true sportsman spirit by prioritizing positivity above all.
