The bodybuilding champion, Flex Wheeler, is known for his unique yet meticulous physique. With his proportionate and symmetrical body, he reached the top of the sport of bodybuilding. However, the bodybuilder is not only regarded for his physique but also for his history in combat sports.

A while back, in a podcast, Wheeler talked about his past as a martial artist. He was seen recalling the time he got bullied and how martial arts helped him fight back.
Flex Wheeler annihilated his bullies through martial arts
In a podcast with Valuetainment, the host asked Wheeler about his motive to learn martial arts as a child. On this, Flex mentioned two main reasons, “one, I was brutally picked on and bullied as a kid. Second, I was a great fighter at a young age”.

As per the talk, Wheeler also revealed his love for the sport. He said, “I couldn’t bring myself to hit people on the street. If we are in a ring then it’s combat. I love combat”.
Wheeler also explicitly described his mindset while performing martial arts. “When somebody hit me, I would just let them hit me because I couldn’t wire myself to hit people in the street,” said Flex. He further added, “My trick was to invite the bully to my martial art school and annihilate him. So he can go back and tell everyone to not fight with me”.
Flex Wheeler’s journey
In his teenage years, Wheeler started training in martial arts. His sole reason for joining the sport was to fight his bullies. But later, he came to love the sport. However, while lifting weights during training, his interest got piqued by bodybuilding. Thus, he stepped into the sporting world of bodybuilding.

Although the sultan of symmetry had picked martial arts to fight his bullies, the sport later paved the way for his bodybuilding career. That’s how the bodybuilding world got its finest yet best bodybuilder of all time.
