Maria revealed she had decided for herself to become a hardworking individual. She wanted to carve out her name and leave behind a legacy. But when she married Arnold, and he took the chair as the 38th Governor of California, she realized, “I became the Kennedy who was married to the governor.”

A proud mother of four, she was the only daughter of Sargent Shriver. She also worked as a producer for Evening Magazine. She was married to bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger for 25 years. In 2011 she filed for divorce after it was revealed that Arnold had fathered a child outside wedlock. Though the two have parted ways, they remain on cordial terms!
