None of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s family members need a formal introduction anymore. Just like Schwarzenegger, his children have also grown up to be public figures. However, despite being the “star kids,” the Schwarzenegger siblings are just like every other sibling in the world. From pulling each other’s legs to having each other’s backs, they have stuck together through thick and thin. Recently, Katherine Schwarzenegger revealed what it’s like being the eldest kid in her family.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has four children with his now ex-wife, Maria Shriver. The eldest of the four is the American writer, Katherine Schwarzenegger. Being the eldest of the four children, Schwarzenegger’s daughter had to take care of her younger siblings and her recent story is all the proof one would need to conclude that she enjoyed every bit of it.

Being the eldest was a boon for Katherine Schwarzenegger

On 11th March, Katherine Schwarzenegger took to her Instagram to give a subtle hint about her life as the eldest Schwarzenegger kid. Katherine posted a screenshot of a tweet that read, “Being an eldest daughter is like an unpaid internship for the rest of your life” on her story. Naturally, Kat took care of her siblings too, while growing up. But that doesn’t mean she was unhappy because of the responsibility.

Via her story, Katherine Schwarzenegger indicated that she loved being in that position. Reacting to the tweet, Katherine added the caption, “Lol #ilovebeingtheeldestchild.” This just proves that although being the eldest wasn’t easy, she didn’t hate it after all. Even after Katherine got married and started a family of her own, she is as close to her siblings as ever.

As close-knitted as they were in the past, it was initially a challenge for some of these siblings to find their separate friend circles.

Finding their individuality

Katherine Schwarzenegger and her sister Christina were born 19 months apart. In school, they were separated by just one grade. This led to them enjoying each other’s company and sharing the same set of friends for the longest time. Initially, it came naturally to them and was “very easy” while growing up.

However, ultimately, there came a time when the two wanted their own friends. It was around high school when the two girls decided to find their independent identities. Instead of drifting away, this decision brought the two closer. As Katherine grew up to be a writer, her recent work ‘Good Night, Sister’ speaks volumes about the bond she shares with Christina.

However, Christina isn’t the only one Katherine is close to. All the siblings came out to show their love and support during the recent launch.
