The Blond Myth A.K.A. Lee Priest kept the bodybuilding world on edge because of his conditioning throughout his professional career. While his jacked physique on stage swooned the audience, his off-season weight left them stunned. He used to weigh around 275 lbs in the off-season. Naturally, as the competition approached, he underwent rigorous exercise to return to shape. While he tried out different routines, Preist was never a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s Arnold Press.
Hailing from the same era of bodybuilding, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lee Priest often crossed paths in the gym. They were also aware of each other’s training routines and supplement intakes. In one of his previous interviews, Priest once gave a hilarious account of Schwarzenegger’s Dbol intake. In a recent interview, Priest tried the infamous Arnold Press on camera and shared his thoughts.

Earlier today, Sam’s Fitness shared a video on their YouTube channel featuring Lee Priest performing the Arnold’s Press and giving insights on Schwarzenegger’s training. While he successfully carried out the routine, Priest claimed he just preferred the normal press. He further added, “I never really liked the Arnold press. I’d see people do, and I tried it many years ago, and like I said just that whole extra twisting was just like they just seemed unnecessary.”
Priest further revealed people usually did it just to catch Schwarzenegger’s attention. Lee Priest alleges though he trained with Schwarzenegger often, he never saw him do the exercise himself. Instead of his famous Arnold Press, Schwarzenegger used to do the normal presses.
Along with his training style, in the past, Preist has also opened up about Schwarzenegger’s gear intake.

In August 2022, Lee Priest appeared in an Rx Muscle video. Herein, Preist talked about Schwarzenegger’s inconsistent dosage intake of Dbol A.K.A. Methandienone. He revealed that back in the day, Schwarzenegger used to keep a jar of Dbol in his car. When Preist asked him how many he takes, Schwarzenegger said, “I just put my hand in — might grab three, might grab four. There was never any sort of set rule like I need to take this much or that much.”
Schwarzenegger never followed a rule to decide the amount he’ll take. Though Preist found this instance hilarious, he has always been a stern advocate of anti-steroid use. More often than not, The Bold Myth uses his interviews and social media to warn the younger generation against steroid usage.
