Despite coming from a nearly poverty-stricken family, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s work ethic saw him become a millionaire within a decade of arriving in America. After winning seven Mr. Olympia titles, Arnold Schwarzenegger stepped into the world of acting with the release of The Terminator in 1984. After that, the Austrian Oak starred in some of the most iconic action movies of all time. As far as logic goes, the bodybuilding legend is a reservoir of knowledge and his youngest son followed him up on that.
In an exclusive interview with HOLA! USA, Joseph Baena—Schwarzenegger’s youngest—talked about the advice from his father that has “always helped” him.

During the red carpet premiere of 80 for Brady, HOLA! USA caught up with the 25-year-old Joseph Baena. The young actor attended the premiere to support his friend Rob Gronkowski, who appeared in the movie. During the short interview with the actor, the interviewer asked Baena if Arnold Schwarzenegger had given him any advice on acting.
“Of course, you are the son of the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger, who can give you so many words of advice, I’m sure. What about acting-wise? Have you got any gems?” asked the interviewer. Joseph Baena revealed his father did give him some golden words of advice. However, he also found it “funny because… most of his (Schwarzenegger) advice goes back to the gym.”
The budding actor said Schwarzenegger told him, even in acting, “it’s all about the reps.” Baena explained that, according to the Predator actor, it’s all about putting in the work consistently. “So with learning lines and practicing the scenes, It’s all about doing the repetition of that… that was his main advice,” Baena told HOLA! USA.
Joseph Baena had some bad news for bodybuilding fans
It’s no secret that the 25-year-old also inherited his father’s love for bodybuilding. However, Baena said acting remains his primary focus. In another recent interview with Inside Fighting, Arnold Schwarzenegger youngest son talked about the possibility of him stepping on the bodybuilding stage.
