The 2024 United States presidential elections have become the subject of global perusal as more candidates are joining the queue. With President Joe Biden announcing his most anticipated re-election bid, the 2024 presidential race is heating up. Nevertheless, Mr. Biden’s predecessor and former US President Donald Trump formally launched his third bid for the elections as the frontrunner of the Republican party. While election updates are making the headlines, the former Governor of California and bodybuilding legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger holds a rather intriguing perspective on Donald Trump’s candidacy.
Lately, Donald Trump has faced a hoard of legal troubles. The former POTUS was investigated for manipulating several business logs. In the wake of the infraction, Trump’s candidacy has been scrutinized by many. Now, being a Republican himself, the Austrian Oak shared his outlook on Trump’s political campaign in the upcoming elections.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s unfeigned views on Donald Trump’s candidature ahead of the 2024 Presidential elections
On 26th April 2023, the Governator appeared in an interview with CNN, where he profoundly chatted about the upcoming election campaigns. When asked whether he is concerned with Trump’s candidacy, the Austrian conceded, “Absolutely not.” However, he believed the Republican Party needs a new face as their frontrunner. “Being a frontrunner of one party and letting them dig this hole deeper and deeper is going to make it easy for the Democrats to win”, stated the Terminator.
Underlining the exigency of a new leader, the bodybuilder asserted, “It’s sad to see that. That they couldn’t come up with a new talent, with a new face that is a reasonable, smart, intelligent person that can lead this country in a Republican way”.

Nonetheless, way before the incumbent president made the bid, the ex-POTUS already announced his candidacy in November 2022. However, four months later, Trump found himself drowning in legal troubles with 34 felony charges against him. Now, as he pleaded ‘not guilty’ to those charges, Schwarzenegger’s ex-wife and Emmy-winning journalist, Maria Shriver, shared her standpoint on the whole subject.

Coming from the lineage of the Kennedy family, Shriver is versed in various nooks and crannies of politics. Thus, as earlier as this month, while Trump pleaded ‘not guilty’ to 34 counts of falsifying business records, Shriver voiced her opinion and took to her Twitter to express her disdain. She penned, “We the people deserve so much better. We deserve leaders with integrity, honor, who put public service above all else.”
